Empty Nest, with a twist

Empty nesting takes on a whole new twist. While many people are dealing with the traditional ritual of kids graduating and scurrying off onto their paths of adulting, there's a legion of an entirely different type of empty nesters, and its numbers are growing exponentially. This group is instead facing the dilemma of wtf do I do now that I am an orphan and don't have Mom or Dad to take care of anymore? Baby boomers have the great blessing of having our parents with us later in life, thanks to longer life expectancy. When I was a kid and Nana died from cancer at 72, it was equivalent to passing from old age. Now the older I get, the older old is. It's not uncommon for people to live into

Yogis come in all shapes and sizes

3 years ago today I took my first chair yoga class with Heather. At that point, my fibromyalgia prevented me from even lying on my back on the floor without excruciating pain (bad L5, too). I couldn't kneel on my left knee due to a past meniscus surgery. Getting up and down from the floor was ridiculous. That's actually why we started the chair class. I knew I wasn't alone in my lack of mobility and Heather was more than willing to work with us. I'm not the same yogi I was then, not by a long shot. And I still have a long journey ahead. ~ Masks must be worn by everyone at all times while shopping. If you have a medical risk preventing you from wearing a mask, I will happily shop for you, but you must wait outside or return to pick-up your order at a later time.

~ Only a few customers will be allowed to enter and shop at the same time. This will allow space for you to move about the shop while respecting social distancing.

~ Hand sanitizer is available. Please use it as often as you feel necessary.

~ Beverages are available to go - cafe tables and chairs have been removed. (There is still a chair available if you are unable to stand for an extended time.)

~ You can still place orders for pick-up by emailing your shopping list to  thewonderstonegallery@outlook.com

These are temporary guidelines as we begin to test the waters of whatever lies ahead in this pandemic. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we learn to navigate the small shop retail world in a new era.
We are all in this together!
