I've read books filled with lofty ideas and dictionary digging words... and that's all they were to me, just words. I can feel the author was writing for him or herself.
Then there's those incredible, authentic books that speak a language of words I don't just understand but know intimately.
Those are the grassroot knowledge books.
Those are the ones that remain on my nightstand for a very long time.
They weren't written for the author, they were written for me.
